We created Volozio to share our passion for flying trapeze and provide a space for people of all ages and abilities to learn how to fly. Common Questions

What will I learn my first time?

During the first part of the lesson, you will learn how to take-off from the platform, hang by your knees on the trapeze bar, and even do a backflip dismount! During the second part of the lesson, if ready, you will be able to attempt a catch – a mid-air transfer to the hands of our experienced catcher who hangs on an opposite trapeze bar.

How long is a lesson and how many turns will I get?

Each lesson has 4 to 8 participants and follows a specific format. All participants are guaranteed 7 turns including catches. Meaning the exact duration of a lesson is determined by the number of participants and by the amount of time it takes them to complete their turns. A full lesson of 8 participants averages 90 minutes.

Is it safe?

Yes it is very safe. Beginner level participants will wear a safety harness at all times. The harness allows you to be attached to a safety mechanism while climbing the ladder to the platform and to be attached to the safety ropes system while swinging on the trapeze over the safety net.

FROM THOSE WHO HAVE DONE IT!

“The biggest plus of this school are the two owners, operators and instructors, René and Andie. Not only did they make me feel like a special guest but I watched their interactions with the group and newcomers visiting for the first time and saw only warm, enthusiastic, helpful coaching and encouragement. Great experience for all levels of flyers!!!”

Bill Spurrell, Brockville, ON

“I had such a great time learning how to trapeze at Volozio. Honestly, I never thought I would ever try this sport, but I’m glad I did! It’s a great work out, super fun and not as hard as you’d think and it’s also perfectly safe!”

Jen, Kirkland, QC

“My friend who regularly does trapeze bought a lesson for me as a gift for my birthday. I admit, I’m afraid of heights and I didn’t think I could do it. After the first minutes and encouragement from the instructors, I went up to do my first jump and afterwards, I was very proud of myself. I went back up several times and loved it. I recommend this activity to everyone.”
