The recommended age to participate in our flying trapeze lessons is 7 years old or more. For safety reasons, there is a maximum weight limit of 90 kgs (200 lbs). Anyone who is just above the weight limit can contact us to discuss the possibilities of participating. If you have any injuries or conditions which may affect your ability to participate, please notify us before making a reservation.

The instructors will begin the lesson on the ground by familiarizing participants with safety procedures and give an explanation of the basic trapeze techniques. During the first part of the lesson, participants will learn how to take-off from the platform, hang by their knees, and even do a backflip dismount! During the second part of the lesson, those who are ready will be able to attempt a catch – a mid-air transfer to the hands of our experienced catcher who hangs on an opposite trapeze bar.

Before going up on the flying trapeze, a video demonstration of the take-off, the knee-hang, and the backflip will be presented to the participants. Following the demonstration, participants will take turns on the trapeze to perform and practice their tricks – first timers will practice the Knee Hang and returning participants will continue with their progressions. Beginner level participants will wear a safety harness at all times. The harness allows you to be attached to a safety mechanism while climbing the ladder to the platform and to be attached to safety ropes while swinging on the trapeze over the safety net.

Lessons are mixed levels, geared for both beginners and the most advanced. One person flies at a time on the trapeze, so each participant receives individual attention and is guided by the instructors according to their own specific capacities. This individual approach is offered so that all participants can have the best experience based on their abilities.

Lessons average 90 minutes based on the maximum limit of 8 participants. All participants are guaranteed a minimum of 7 turns on the trapeze including catches, no matter the number of participants. A lesson with fewer participants may complete 7 turns in less time than a lesson that is full. Therefore the exact duration of a lesson is determined by the number of participants signed-up.

Yes, we are not a school. You do not have to wait for a new session to begin. Although you will be participating in a group lesson, you will be taught on an individual basis and at your own pace. So, you can start today, tomorrow, or at any time.

Reservations can be made online through our schedule page, by email or over the phone. A reservation needs to be made to guarantee a spot as only 8 spaces are available in each trapeze lesson.

A minimum of 4 participants is required to hold a lesson. If a lesson is not possible due to low enrollment, we will contact those signed up 24-48 hours before the start of the lesson. We will try to reschedule you into another occurring lesson or offer a full refund.

We recommend comfortable athletic clothing that will not restrict your movement. Preferably long athletic style pants, workout leggings, or fitted jogger pants should be worn. We do not recommend wearing shorts or loose fitting clothing – jeans are not allowed. Socks are optional, but recommended. Please avoid wearing jewelry, as it will need to be removed before flying. Long hair will need to be tied back using an elastic band. Glasses will need to be removed before going up on the trapeze.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 48 hours or less from the reservation time will not receive a refund. Cancellations made between 48-72 hours in advance will be given a refund minus a fee of $20. Cancellations made 72 hours or more in advance will receive a full refund minus a 4% administration fee. ‘No-shows’ will result in the participant being liable for the full cost of the reservation.
